We are seeking for a Junior Sous chef to join the team in our clients well established Beach side restaurant located on the south coast of Devon.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Sous Chef and Head Chef in managing both the kitchen and the team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining high standards of hygiene, boosting team morale, and actively participating in the creation of innovative dishes for specials and the fish of the day.

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Sous Chef and Head Chef in managing kitchen operations.
  • Uphold and enforce impeccable standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Contribute to the development of exciting dishes for specials and the fish of the day.
  • Showcase your culinary skills and creativity with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

 

Requirements:

  • You must have your own mode of transport due to the location of the site
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant.
  • Passion for working with fresh and exciting ingredients.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing culinary skills.
